Earthbound Spell

Prerequisite(s): None

Benefit: When you cast an earthbound spell, you place it within a square adjacent to you. You must specify all effects, options, and other relevant variables when you cast the spell. The next creature to enter the square triggers the spell. If the spell affects an area, the chosen square is the center of the effect. For a cone, line or other similar effect, you must designate the direction it will affect when you cast the spell. An earthbound spell that does not affect an area, affects only the creature that triggers it. You cannot apply the Eartbound metamagic feat to spells that have a range of personal. An Earthbound spell stays in place for 1 hour or until it is triggered. A search check (DC = 25 + spell levle), reveals its presence as does detect magic and similar abilities. A character with Trapfinding can make a Disable Device check (DC 25 + Spell level) to remove an earthbound spell, as a magic trap. Dispel magic also can remove the earthbound spell. An Earthbound spell uses a slot 2 levels higher than normal.
