| Benefit: When you are exposed to a language you do not know, you may study it for eight hours each day. You may not undertake any other strenuous activity during this day (such as fighting, creating a magic item, and so on). At the end of the day, make a DC 20 Intelligence check. If you succeed on the check you may speak that language as if it had been added to your list of known languages, but cannot read or write it. If you fail the check, you fail to learn the language. |

| Special: You may make one check each day for a number of days equal to your intelligence bonus. You gain a +1 bonus on your intelligence check for each additional day you have heard the language and for each skill point spent on the speak language skill. These bonuses stack. |
