Vow of Non-Violence |

Prerequisite(s): Sacred Vow

Benefit: Your save DCs for spells you cast or other special abilities you use against humanoids or monstrous humanoid targets increase by +4 if the spell or ability does not deal damage. The bonus does not stack with the bonus from Spell Focus. To fulfill your vow, you cannot cause harm or suffering to humanoid or monstrous humanoid foes. You may never do real damage or ability damage, although you may do subdual damage. Any ally within 120' of you that harms or slays a helpless or defenseless foe, suffers a -1 penalty to all rolls for one hour for each level you possess. You may ask your allies to take a vow that a helpless foe will not be slain, if they take it and break the vow, they will suffer the penalty even if they are worlds away from you. You may ask a defeated foe to take a vow of surrender or non-interference, if they take the vow and then break it, your allies can deal with him as they see fit. If you leave a helpless foe to be slain, you have broken your vow. If you break your vow, you lose it forever and do not get a new feat to replace it. If you break the vow due to magical compulsion, you lose all benefits until you attone.
