Blunted Blade |
| Prerequisite(s): Dex 13+, Proficient with weapon |
| Benefit: You gain a +1 dodge bonus to AC when wielding a one or two-handed weapon. While using Blunted Blade you cannot attack with that weapon, but may strike with unarmed attacks at no penalty. A monk character cannot use Flurry of Blows during any round in which he uses Blunted Blade. If fighting with two weapons, you gain no additional AC bonuses from the second weapon, may only attack with one weapon and suffer the usual penalties for two-weapon fighting. An exception to this is a character using paired special monk weapons, he suffers no penalty to weapon attacks, though he still cannot use Flurry of Blows. Blunted Blade can be taken twice and its bonus is cumulative. |
